More Pictures, Day 18--Dinner, Day 19--Tough Love

We barely snuck into DC for the ballet on Saturday, you should have seen the traffic headed in while we drove home! I'm just glad we went to the matinee and could get out of there before things got too busy for the inauguration. We ate at the KC cafe inside the Kennedy Center. Check out our Chocolate Napoleon we had for dessert. Yum! Then we found our top row nosebleed seats where we got a great view of the chandelier and the ballet. The dancing was amazing! I especially enjoyed the final act and the grand pas de deux. It was a nice treat to have a day without the kids and the boys really loved playing with Regan all day. Blake wanted to go home with her.

On to day 18. We had Grant's teacher, Mrs. Stern-Richardson and her husband over for dinner. It was so much fun! They are really nice and we had a great time.

Day 19 Tough Love
So the kids love the camp out in the basement on weekends. They sleep on the floor with sleeping bags and watch a show before falling asleep. The big rule about campouts is that you have to clean the basement first. It was trashed earlier this week, so the boys missed a campout when they wouldn't clean it up. But the mess actually wasn't that bad yesterday, but still, Grant refused to help clean up. So Travis told him he couldn't have a campout. And on top of that, Travis told Grant that now one of Grant's toys would be Dad's toy since Dad had to clean it up. Then Travis chose Grant's favorite set of alphabet books and put them up until he decides to help clean up the basement again.
