Grant

Grant rocks. We had his IEP this month and that's what his teachers said: he rocks. He's moving into 91% inclusion and no longer needs speech services. He is beyond excited to learn and is perfectly behaved in all his classes. He's always prepared in class and enjoys working on subjects that are a challenge to him. When he's in inclusion, Grant sits with the typical kids and does awesome. He needs basically no assistance, raises his hand to answer questions, and talks with his classmates. He loves to help, reminds the other kids of the rules, and is opening up more every day in class. Can you tell I'm thrilled at his progress?

At home, Grant has discovered youtube and its millions of videos about letters and numbers. He loves playing 'hidden alphabet' on the computer too. He's generally happy and usually helpful, although he tells me every day that he would rather have someone besides me pick him up from the bus.

And apparently, he's really into playing in the mud.
