Summer

We don't have a baseball bat, so we make do with a cardboard tube and a soccer ball. Kids love it.

The game evolves into giant golf.

The boys "build" the house while we work outside on Saturday.

Time for blocks!

Here's the summer update. Grant and Blake are playing together really well lately. They love to build things together and especially play on the stairs. They pretend to sleep or throw stuff down the steps, or just pile all their junk and knock it down again. Most of us were sick last week. I had pink eye that I gave to Grant and strep throat that Blake gave me. We're all feeling better now.

Grant likes summer school. He really enjoys the other kids and likes getting out of the house and riding the bus. Blake likes to follow me around while Grant's at school. Lately he's been carrying around a mini container of Play-Doh and six or seven marker lids.

Funny story of the day: on the way home from Hayden's dr appt today we were pointing out gas stations. At one intersection there were three or four of them in view. We looked at all of them and said "there's a gas station...there's another one!" Then we rounded the corner and saw a car dealership with tons of balloons, to which Blake exclaimed "Look! It's a balloon station!" It was so cute and funny!! Smart boys.
