Grant carried his happy meal toy around in his shirt pocket all night.
He loved wearing his baseball cap to the game too.
We just got back from the best night! We signed up for BYU alumni night at the Nationals baseball game tonight. Tickets were only $8 and included a free pizza party prior to the game. Of course we took too long getting there and had dinner elsewhere, but still well worth the $8. Regan stayed home with Hayden and the older boys had a blast. Highlights of the night include:
1. Riding Metro. Dave had free passes for us all and the boys LOVED to stand and hold onto the pole while riding.
2. The game!! Grant and Blake liked the wave and even sang : "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch. We ended up losing, but had a great time anyway.
3. Cotton Candy. The boys had never had it before. Grant said: "It's clouds!! It's clouds!" Blake had to roll it around in his hands at first to check it out. Then they chowed down. They loved it.
4. The fans. We had a group of Phillies fans not far from us that were really into the game. It was hilarious listening to them jeer and cheer.
5. Great friends!! Yay Burdicks and Van Camps!! We had a great time caravaning to the Metro station (only a little swearing/cursing involved). And thanks to the Burdicks for dinner at the Pentagon City Mall (super cool mall, requires a separate trip sometime) and ice cream treats afterwards.
We can't wait until next year!
Looks like a LOT of fun!!! We can't belive how ccol that is! Grant looks like such a big boy now!! He's growing like a weed!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the part about the cotton candy. I'm sure they loved it. This looks like a riot. Was it really a Mormon's night? Good pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us.
