Eight Months

Cosette-ey is 8 months old! Okay, she's technically 8 months and 2 weeks old, but who's counting?  So it's time for pictures! Our Cosette started today with a re-check of her ears at the dr's office. Guess what?

She has an ear infection. Now it's in the other ear. Of course that explains her general whiny-ness of the past few days. But, she also gained a whole pound in a month and is now 18lbs 5oz. And she's adorable:

Cosette's like most babies: all about eating everything around her. We're constantly on the look-out for random things on the floor that she might stick in her mouth. She gets MAD when you take, say a magnet, from her mouth when she's busy chewing on it. The up side to all of this, is she's getting better at feeding herself. Although she's still not the greatest at finger foods, she loves munching on most anything foods we put in front of her. She'll watch us eat and start whimpering like a puppy until we feed her. She does the same thing when Travis drinks a Coke Zero. 

Speaking of Travis, Cosette loves him! She'll practically crawl out of my arms when he walks in the room. She kind of just likes men better all around. She's a flirt. This smile is seen rarely for a girl:

Cosette is so much fun these days. She is army crawling all over the place! We're constantly racing to shut the basement door, because she makes a beeline for it whenever it's open. Although to boys are too scared to pick her up, we've taught them to drag her by the feet to safety if she gets too close to the edge. She doesn't seem to mind the ride and the boys think it's hilarious to pull her around the living room.

I love when she sucks in her lower lip like that!!! Let's see, Cosette's other likes: riding in the car (she always falls asleep), size 1 nipples in her nuk bottles (size 2's are deemed too big and are received only with screaming), her swing (it's the only thing that gets her to sleep when she's sick), rattles, paper left on the floor, table food, pacifiers for sleeping, legwarmers and these shoes to keep her feet warm all day (good thing I got them on clearance for only $5 last year), baths (she kicks her legs and waves her arms like crazy from start to finish), her hair growing into a teeny mohawk, and all things pink.

Cos-ey can't wait for Christmas. She asked Santa for a baby walker, a Baby Stella, and a play kitchen (that she will let Hayden use all he wants/thank goodness I got it on clearance last year!!). It's a good thing Grandma and Grandpa are so nice too...Santa needed some help with these gifts!

See how she's getting up on her knees?! It's so cute! She's not the greatest sitter. She doesn't have the patience for it. But she's always up on her knees lately. She even got into a sitting position by herself last week. It lasted about 5 seconds until she fell backward. It made her mad and that was the end of that!
