Starry Night over a Couch -- by Grant HobbsOh, he's not done yet. Next, Grant took up art. His prefered medium is crayon, but he has recently experimented with washable marker and lipstick. After a long weekend of cleaning last week, all the markers, crayons, pens, pencils and lipsticks have been confiscated. Here are some cleaning tips:
--Although orange clean and a washrag will clean up most of lipgloss/lipstick, you will need a magic eraser for the remaining residue.
--Permanent marker takes 15 times longer than crayon to get off and your paint goes with it
--Scotch brite knock-offs of magic erasers are a rip-off
--For lipgloss on upholstery, use Woolite upholstery cleaner, works like a charm
--Being 15 feet away in the next room doesn't stop your child from coloring every surface in the kitchen with a thankfully, washable marker
The best part of the experience...the subtitles of the pics! Too funny, but sad too! What a lot of work!

AAAhhh....finally, another person to share the experience of the permanent marker with. You know, I hate to say it...but I just have to tell you that his coloring bandit days are not over. Madi is still doing it when she can get away with it...and I have confiscated all of the items that might possibly cause temptation, and unfortunately she keeps finding them. AAAAAAAAAAAaaaa!!!!

ReplyDeleteYeah, after we cleaned up the first make-up, he did some more the next day. We have never found the second lipstick tube. We have no idea where it came from. It was a much smaller mess though.
