What have we been up to?

We took the kids to sample traditional Californian culture: the Visalia Mexican Flea Market. We wandered the rows of stalls for about an hour in the heat. The highlights were the chihuahuas and birds we saw in the first five minutes.

After that it was basically the same shoe, food, and cheap clothing vendors over and over again. My personal favorite were these:

Mexican chonies and bubbles.

Also, Blake hurt his eye at Gap. It bled quite a bit, but he recovered well.

Grant and Blake got a chance to spend the night at Aunt Erica's house. They loved hanging out there with the dog and going swimming in Peter's parents' spa. Blake got to have a Jack in the Box happy meal. The prize was a duck call. Grandpa of course had to one-up Jack in the Box and pulled out his whole duck call collection that the boys played with for days! Even Hayden can call three or four ducks by now.

I've cut the boys' hair for the last couple years and it's a pain, but saves us $50 a pop. Grandma decided to treat the boys to a real Barber and don't they look cute?! Of course they were way better behaved than they are for me!

Only a week until Travis gets here and then it's non-stop fun until we arrive back in CA. We've had such a great time but miss all our friends back home!
