Out of all the millions of project that we had to complete while Mom and Dad were here, the most daunting was the kitchen cabinet project. Check out the before and afters ----
BEFORE -----

Melanie is taking stuff out of the cabinets, and stuffing them in our ever handy garbage bags.

Look at those bare cupboards. Note the funky 70's color.

Notice the shelving unit on the top right hand side of the picture. Way too small to hold a microwave, right?

What a big mess! That is also exactly what the kids said when they came downstairs Monday morning.

Let the project begin. Travis does not look like he is having fun, does he?
AFTER -----

Wow! Look at those new shiny white cabinets. And the new silver shiny handles and hinges.

It's nice to have a microwave on that shelf.

Nice new look for the kitchen pantry.

Inside pantry. Organized and white.
Woohoo! Everything looks greeeeat. Mel, do you love the extra space you get from moving the microwave off the counter?? Sweeeeet.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love a good working vacation! Everything looks sweet!
ReplyDeleteI would say my favorites are the counter space where the old big microwave and the newly painted hardware! Great work guys!
ReplyDeleteAfter the first day of working in the kitchen I had a dream about it all night long. It was a nightmare, but as you can see worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness Travis saved me on putting the lazy susan back together again; otherwise, it would still be in pieces on the deck. Good job Trav.
We should have taken a before and after of the sliding glass door. That was one of my favorite improvements and was not even on the list. Just one of those fathers day activities.
