Update! Update! Update!

Blake looked so cute in this picture that we thought we'd post it. I think it's a good fridge pic.



This is something that Grant drew the other day. If you look closely at that he's spelled: orange, red, green, black, yellow, brown, blue and purple. He also used the appropriate color for each one. For example, "orange" is written in the color orange. Some of the letters are missing and reversed, but he's such a smarty pants! We're so proud.

Here are a few other things that have been going on at the Hobbs house:

1) Travis is supposed to run his first ever 10K at the Baltimore marathon next Saturday. Unfortunately, last week as he was running, he started to feel pain in his legs, he kept running anyway. Now he has a bad case of the shin-splints. This was caused by over-training, running in worn-out shoes, and not adequately stretching before his runs. He's hoping that the shin-splints will go away by Saturday, but if not he may have to walk a significant part of the 10K.

2) Melanie has been sewing like crazy. She's now making pajamas for the kids, and crocheting an afghan for some friends. She is having a good time.

3) Grant is putting his mom and dad through potty-training H-E-Double Hockeysticks. He is learning, and has used the potty a few times, but it has definitely been a lot of work. His favorite two movies right now are Bambi and Incredibles. He also likes Curious George and Toy Story. He is also getting ready for the Primary program in a couple of weeks.

4) Blake is really into a show called the Wonder Pets. He sings along during the main song of the show. He also gets a kick out of saying "Come on down..." whenever the Price is Right is on TV. He also really loves smarties. He carries them around in a little orange pumpkin bucket. I think he's definitely ready for Halloween.
