Things we have done since home in VA

Started school of course!

Reconnected with our ward family on Sunday! It was great to see so many familiar faces...and a few new ones too!

Tried out the new doorbell that Travis installed, admired his work in the bathroom...pictures to follow in a few days!

Tried unsuccessfully to run 10 miles with the kids in strollers last Monday. Stupid idea...we quit after 7 miles and walked the rest...have lined up babysitter for final runs!

Finally put away the last of the clothes from our trip!

Started morning, after school, & before bed routines for our kids. They love earning check marks by doing all their stuff. Pretty soon, they will get a trip to the candy store!

Discovered bugs in our wheat and cleaned out our whole pantry. Yuck!! But now my big pantry is super-organized!

Travis tore out all the weeds that took over the backyard and re-seeded.

Restored hundreds of pictures and files from my failed external hard drive.

I sorted all three boys and shoes, making room for the new sizes.

Grant and Blake rediscovered the front yard and spent hours with 25 cents worth of bubbles and their friends!

Hayden had his first speech therapy appt, a huge success. We're making a list of all the words he says and also have assignments to teach him some signs, songs, and do mirror play.

Discovered a leak in our roof today. I noticed water dripping onto the floor in the living room. We traced it to the roof where we need to re-seal around an exhaust pipe that goes out of the roof. Thankfully, it was a small leak and I think we can wait for the spot on the ceiling to dry and then prime and paint over it. I'm so relieved it's an easy fix. As everyone knows, massive rain storms make me a nervous wreck...so to have dripping water in the middle of a tropical storm nearly sent me into a panic attack! I'm so glad we figured this one out on our own and even stopped the water temporarily!

Celebrated Fiona's b-day with a trip to Kobe and a game of Puerto Rico! The kids were so excited to see their favorite babysitter, Regan! Hayden calls her 'Ray-gee".

Realized how much we love our home! Even the ghetto looks good after being away for five weeks! We missed our friends and are having fun settling into the new school year. Here's how we found the kids when we got home today!

And a bonus pic of Blake after dressing himself for bed. I think his shirt is on upside down, pants twisted, and a sleeping hat for good measure! I love that kid!
