Grant had fun sorting his candy. His candy vocab has grown exponentially this past week. I'm sure it's due to the all-sugar diet he's on. New words include: airheads, kitkat, fun dip, etc.
Highlights include:
Adorable boys dressed as three little devils. Grant was devil #1, Blake as #2, Hayden as #3. I was the angel that gets a free ticket to heaven due to raising three little devils. Travis chose to be unaffiliated. We were finalists in the group category of the costume contest. We lost to Sister Walton, a widow in our ward, who dressed her only son as Henry the Eighth and made costumes for the other five daughters and herself to be his six wives. It was hilarious!!
Due to Grandma & Grandpa Welsh's expertise, we won the chili contest for the second year running.. Of course this may be due to ten-year-old Sean Hansen who decided to campaign for our chili. He conducted a "get out the vote drive" on our behalf, collecting votes from ward members through-out dinner. We did not pay him to do this.
Trunk or Treating!! Grant and Blake were super into this part. Lots of candy filled their buckets and they were so cute!! Grant was really good at saying Trick or Treat!! Blake learned to hold up his bucket so the candy could go right in, and Travis did a great job decorating our trunk with tire chains, rope, a bungee cord, our old license plate, and anything else he could find lying around the trunk.
Cute, Cute, Cute pictures.
