We had a follow up appt with the surgeon yesterday and it was pretty good news. The cataract has reversed itself due to Trav keeping his head down and now he can keep his head up for 15 minutes out of every hour! woo hoo! We also got a prescription for Tylenol with codiene to help Travis with the headache he can't get rid of. The next follow up will be next Monday and he should be able to return to work sometime late next week.
Meanwhile, Travis is excited to watch a little tv and spends lots of time listening to books on tape. He's really enjoying Farenheit 451, but we're a bit bored with The Robe. On Thursday he'll be able to spend half his time looking up. We're saving our favorite tv shows (Lost, 24, Heroes) for that time. Travis is a great baby-holder these days and he's working on teaching Grant & Blake some nursery rhymes.
Kid updates:
Grant is peeing on his own! He comes up by himself and does the whole routine unassisted!! It's awesome.
Blake is raiding the kitchen utensil drawers. He's into colored spatulas lately. He also loves Dora the Explorer and is so funny when he sings the song.
Hayden loves for Dad to hold him. He is smiling now and is just adorable. Now he just needs to sleep through the night.
Yay for fifteen minutes of head up time! It's great to hear that Trav is starting to do better. But that blood red eye picture is just nasty. Made me want to puke.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for Grant peeing on his own too! That's even better news than Trav's eye! Is there a party goin' on in your house, or what???
Travis, that eye is disgusting! But we're glad things are going better. I think we'll use that picture for next Christmas' version of the Hobbs Family Matching Game....
ReplyDeleteMelanie, we didn't know anything about Travis needing eye surgery. What did he go in for in the first place? And how is he doing NOW?
ReplyDeletePoor Travis. Seeing his sore eye makes me feel bad for him. Will he have full use of that eye again? I sure hope so!!
By the way, little Hayden is a doll. He just gets cuter and cuter all the time. Hang in there with everything Melanie! Let the house go, and just concentrate on Travis and the boys. Love you guys!
Travis,
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it hurts so bad. I'm so glad that you can raise your head. Extra Kudo's for Melanie taking care of you and the boys. She is a trooper. Love ya,
