One Down, One to Go

Grant was SO excited to start school this year. He's moving to a new school to join the other Autism classes. He'll be in Ms. Johar's class with 8 other students from first and second grade. Thankfully, he'll be joined by his friends Patrick and David, who he's had class with since preschool. We're looking forward to a new year, although we're a bit nervous about the brand-new teacher they hired to teach his class. Hmmm, we'll see.

And of course, the first day of school would not be complete without a ridiculously late special ed. bus. This year it was 25 minutes late. Sadly, that's better than other years. Hopefully by the end of the week, things will be going more smoothly and Grant might even make it to school in time. Either way, he was so excited to jump on the bus this morning (in his new light-up Sketchers). Here's a few pics.
Look at me, no more cast!

Thanks for the sweet new shoes Grandma Welsh!!

Here's my bus! I'll be riding with Chris, another student from my neighborhood.

See ya Mom! Grant climbed on, decided half-way up that he didn't recognize the bus, and got off. After a little encouragement, he climbed on to stay!

See ya at 3:45!!

Kindergarten starts tomorrow, so stay tuned for Blake's first day!
