This pic is from before church, when they were in a little better mood. Our hometeachers came on Sunday. Note to self: do not invite the hometeachers over on Sunday at 5:30pm when you don't even get out of church until 4 and have to drive 20 min home after waiting around to do a few things for your calling. We got home shortly before 5 and rushed through dinner so that they could show up about 20 minutes late. We have now entered the dead zone: that fateful hour before bed when you are merely counting the minutes until seven.
The kids started out okay, quietly playing on the floor. Brother Mathis proceeded with a very thorough lesson where he read a million quotes and asked two million questions. Grant decided that he would test our discipline with strangers in the house. It began with emptying every toy from the armoire, running like crazy around the house, and then throwing fits whenever Blake came near him. After about three time outs and constant screaming/whining, the hometeacher finally finished his lesson. It was miserable. Why do they have to come every month? At least by the time the hometeachers left, we could change the kids into pj's and put them straight to bed.
