Space Day!

We went to the Udvar-Hazy Nat'l Air & Space Museum this week for space day. It's a huge hanger near Dulles Airport that houses the big planes, etc that they can't display at the Air & Space Museum in D.C. Thursday was Space Day there so there was no $12 parking fee and it was open late. Here are our top picks:

1. Space Shuttle Enterprise-- It was huge! Awesome to see an actual space shuttle that's been in space.
2. SR-71 Blackbird-- Looks like a stealth
3. Enola Gay-- Dropped the first atomic bomb in Japan
4. Concorde-- Jet Smaller than you would imagine
5. Old Wooden planes--we've come a long way.

Grant loved the planes and the music by the kid's band there. We had a great time.

  1. That sounds cool. It's too bad we didn't get to go when we visited you guys - I guess we'll just have to make another trip for it.
