RIP Honda Accord 1996-2009

Well, the Accord didn't really last until 2009. It died last fall and our friend offered to tinker around with it and try to fix it. He let us know this week that it's beyond saving. Since a garage would charge $2000 to fix the car that was only worth $2000, we decided to just let it live the rest of it's life in a junk heap somewhere. The awesome Burdicks have leant us their car in the meantime and we were able to save up so we could buy this fabulous new to us 2007 Toyota Corolla!!!

It's the newest car we've EVER bought. It's younger than any of our kids, but not by much.

Very clean driver's side! And yes, we own TWO cars with automatic transmissions now! Only 40,000 miles too!

Want a ride? It's a certified Toyota, so it's under warranty until 2014 and 100,000 miles!

This trunk looks to be the perfect size for Black Friday shopping!!! Did I mention that the car has remote entry?! Woo hoo!!

We're keeping Miller Toyota in business! Now that we've bought two new cars in less than a year, I'm hoping we're done for awhile. Travis was impressed with my mad bargaining skills when I talked the dealer down over $1500 because the car's been on the lot since January. Because hey, when there's a recession on, the Hobbs buy not one, but TWO cars. Geez.
